Contribute a post
AMMnet Hackathon blog posts turn completed workshops, training sessions, and other learning materials into resources that the wider community can reuse. Contributions are welcome from session facilitators, organizers, and participants working with the session team.
First, coordinate with the Task Force
Before preparing a post, contact the Hackathon Task Force through the AMMnet Slack workspace or by email. Share the proposed topic, likely publication timing, lead contributors, and any expected software, data, or hosting needs. This helps the Task Force coordinate the schedule and confirm that support and resources are available.
Before you begin
Please make sure that:
- the lesson or session materials are complete;
- the authors have agreed to publish them;
- private, sensitive, or copyrighted files have been removed; and
- you know the post title, authors, session date, and a short description.
Choose a contribution route
Use an AI assistant
This repository includes a Codex workflow that can turn prepared materials into a draft post. Open the repository in Codex and ask:
Use $add-ammnet-blog-post to publish the prepared materials at SOURCE.Replace SOURCE with the local folder or repository URL containing the materials. You will review the selected files and finished post before they are submitted.
Create the post manually
Follow the step-by-step contribution guide to create a Quarto post, preview it locally, and submit a pull request.
Review and publication
A maintainer will review the pull request and may suggest changes. After it is approved and merged, the website is rebuilt automatically and the post appears on the blog. Contributors should check the published page once the deployment finishes.
